Zizek's style

I just want to express that I really enjoyed Zizek's writing style. It was comprehensible and accessible to the everyday person. One does not have to be an "intellectual" to understand the points he makes. In today's world so many people rely on art and film to get a grasp on theory. I know I do. Before this class, my understanding of postmodernism was greatly based on my viewings of postmodern films. Film can visually articulate complex theories. I appreciated Zizek because without specifically referring to postmodernism, he explained what it is through the examples of films, novels and known events. Zizek is writing about very abstruse ideas and yet he is able to do so in a manner that is not condescending and is actually appealing to an audience beyond the academic setting.

Yes, I have to support this comment since I very much appreciated his straightforward manner of writing. It is such a relief especially after some past books we've read!
