Please Pardon My Imaginary Friend

I wish to notify everyone that I will allow an imaginary friend, Jack Mole, to use my account to upload regular entries to this site.

This is probably a lousy way to introduce a friend, but I hereby apologize for Jack in advance. He expresses ideas and opinions neither I nor anyone else I know endorses. Further, he seems to consider his fictional world at least as real as our own. I usually find this charming in personae, but it may lead him to act in ways not appropriate to a classroom environment, since he feels that this is only a publishing convenience, not a classroom or even, really, a social setting in any usual sense.

Plus, he's been under a lot of pressure lately.

I do realize that we are in a class and that you remain under some compulsion to read blog entries. I like Jack, and I hope he does not offend anyone. But if he does, please pardon me or correct me as best you can and feel free ignore him.

So that he might be ignored more effectively, Jack will head each of his entries moleslogMMDDYYYY, with the proper corresponding fictional date, to distinguish his entries from those of Magoo. Please feel free to ignore Jack or respond as you wish. He or I may respond to comments, depending on whether one of us finds the comment to be more real in Magoo's world or in Jack's.
