final project worries

With the final project deadline looming, I’m beginning to feel very nervous about my project being online. While I have the basic ideas of Dreamweaver down, I am far from proficient, and currently my project is just text, picture, and link. Not very exciting. I am feeling far more charitable to the other hypertext authors that I criticized for their boring/unprofessional looking websites.

But my worries go a bit deeper than that. Did anyone else pick a project that incorporates personal stuff? Like your family, your own creative writing? I did, and now I’m concerned that I made a mistake because I feel intense pressure to make it perfect (which just isn’t going to happen). And if it isn’t perfect, I will have been disrespectful. On the other hand, something we’ve noted about stuff on the Internet is that it doesn’t have to be static, and I can change it later.

But I have to admit, I’m not feeling super excited about website design, and I’m not sure that I will be exploring the intricacies of advanced Dreamweaver. But maybe I will continue with my project in another format…involving a pen and paper.

dreamweaver,etc

I am definitely feeling worried about my Dreamweaver creation as well. Yet, I think that it is an accomplishment just to figure out text, pictures and links. Also, if you're still feeling uncomfortable about posting it up online, you can take the site down at any time, right? At any rate, don't worry, you're not alone!

Well, yeah, you can take the

Well, yeah, you can take the site down if you want to, but if it's already been online, then Google probably has a cached version of it that people can still read. Just a word of warning...

What I'm really worried

What I'm really worried about is that my family will somehow Google themselves and find this project and READ it. I, too, am doing something personal, and I really don't want my family to read about themselves in this thing. That could be....well, bad.

Change the names!

If it were perfect, would everyone involved agree that it were?

Change the places. Change whatever else you need to.
