More on the Wiki

I agree with Oz and Silversprung that our wiki is turning out really well. It seemed to me that while it started out being very promising, it then went through a somewhat dismaying phase of chaos and contradictory lexia. I've been really pleased and excited to see the way various storylines have been tied together. The whole thing makes much more sense as a coherent whole than I ever expected. There are still a few things I hope we can all iron out before the end of tomorrow, but I'm really very happy with our experiment. It's not a small thing to create something this ambitious with this many authors in the mix. Good job everyone!

what needs ironing?

I'm curious to know which sections you think need ironing out. I mean, maybe this sort of inquiry is contrary to the spirit of the project, but I need to catch up on wiki edits in addition to blog posts, so a specific project might be helpful. Of course, I might not be terribly interested in those sections, but I thought I'd ask. I agree that the wiki is actually coalescing, which has definitely rekindled my interest by the way.

Things to fix in the wiki?

To disclaimer: These are all my personal ideas, and the whole point of a wiki is that no one person gets to dictate from on high, but here is what I've noticed:

There were multiple people writing about Gabriel's visit to Rob and Alice. I think I've fixed most of the inconsistencies there, but that's a place to look.

There are also a few things that I'm unclear on, although it's possible that I just haven't found the pages. We have an ending of sorts for Alice, and bit of one for the rest of her family. Grant and Godfrey just kinda got dropped...while its not an inconsistency, I think we might be able to give their characters a bit more closure. Also, how did Grant get from Iraq to married to Patty? And for all we made a big deal about not allowing the sexy Catholic nurse to die, Patty has become a pretty small aspect of the story at this point. Maybe she deserves a couple more pages?

I would also love to see more links between the frame story and the imbedded soap opera.

Just some ideas...if anything strikes your fancy, that's great. If you or anyone else has ideas on what else we could tie up or polish, post away.
