BUST: for women with something to get off their chests

I don’t know how many of you have heard of Bust magazine, but the WU has subscribed to it for a LONG time and I just started reading it. At first I was hesitant, because it seemed ultra (bordering on militant) feminist, and that’s just not my style. But, since I started working as a co-fac and picking up the mail, I’ve been flipping through the issues, and they’re amazing. It’s obviously a feminist magazine, but it isn’t overly political (just the right balance of fluff pieces about how much Paris Hilton deserves to be punched in the face with pieces that critically examine our government/society), and always has interesting interviews and reviews and art pieces and…
Well, it’s just a great magazine, and a refreshing change from Cosmo, Style and the like (which I inevitably stock up on when I’m at the airport). Here’s the website for anyone who’s interested, or, if you’re so inclined, stop in to the WU and check it out (although I’ve “borrowed” the last few copies…shhhhh….). Like most magazine websites, they also have oodles of relevant links (I just started reading “Feminism Can Be Cured”).
I know this seems like an irrelevant post, but I had to share the good news (and someone else posted about a magazine so I figured it was kosher).

I had the same assumptions about BUST, and exactly the same reaction-- it's definitely welcome respite from ordinary women's magazines.
