Links to Copyright Terrorists

| | |

I love the fact that my thesis is about mashups, but it means that I often get sidetracked when I'm doing thesis research. On Friday night, for example, I was up until three in the morning downloading tracks from PartyBen.com. This is the genius behind the American Edit remix of the Green Day American Idiot album. I don't know if you all have heard of this, because I just read about it, but this time last it had Warner Brothers getting a cease and desist order against the guy. It's kind of cool, and I found a mySpace page that has decided to post many of the songs...available for download of course.

Forgive me, please, because I haven't gotten the whole "link" thing down yet, but if you copy this thing it should be good enough. These are people going out of their way to circumvent copyright laws, and I found another guy named World Famous Audio Hacker, who is releasing an album shortly entitled Copyright Terrorism.
His site is here:

If you get an error loading, just try again.

These guys are pretty badass at what they do, though it looks like WFAH isn't as big a fan of the concept of a "mashup". Also I strongly recommend going to the download section of www.PartyBen.com. There are some amazing songs there.

I hope you guys enjoy my productive procrastination, and partake in some civil disobedience by downloading this cool music.
