MS 190: Authorship is the course website for the Fall 2006 Media Studies senior seminar at Pomona College in Claremont, California.
AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH
When I talked about my thesis in class (independent film distribution, david lynch etc), I believe somebody mentioned something about "An Inconvenient Truth" getting dropped by a certain production/dist company (Disney?). I can't find anything about this. I'd really love a link to an article, or at least a little more information to help aid my search?

And while we're on the topic, anyone know why Who Killed the Electric Car? was picked up by Sony only to get barely distributed, especially for a documentary that had relatively high-cost production? (It takes place in California but I haven't met a single person who has seen it in a local movie theater)

Actually, it was Fahrenheit 9/11 -- Miramax was going to distribute it, but after the right caught wind of it, Disney blocked the distribution of the film. (See here.)
