Why Blogging Is Important

In keeping with drawing my inspiration from the Internet, I have finally discovered why blogging is important:

My mom sent me this article because it had the number 47 prominently featured in the title, but I enjoyed because of its technological relevance. If these two hadn't been active participants in their classmate's blog, they never would have reconnected! I think that's kind of crazy. It seemed like that necessary connection would have been missed in a class reunion setting, but the blog apparently set the mood just right. Now I'm not suggesting (especially at the late stage of the game) that we turn our blog into a dating service, I just think it's a heartwarming story of older people utilizing all of the great benefits the Internet has to offer. I think I mentioned how earlier in the semester I'd been feeling a huge generation gap in people's attitudes toward the Internet. Something like this story shows me that I can't generalize to that extent.
