Developing the Characters/Idea for your Script

Using the homework assignments, we will begin by talking about how to turn an idea into a well-developed, well-thought out script.


Script Formatting Basics

We will be discussing industry standard for film and television scripts.
-What are the margins on a script?
-What do the abbreviations mean?
-What is the general format of the script?
-How do I lay out the cover page?


Script Formatting Programs

There are lots of programs that will format scripts for you, including some freeware.
