Does anyone know how to create a random number generator on a web page? I have a friend who needs to do this for her thesis survey. Please let me know if you have any info on this. Your advice is much appreciated! Thanks -Sammie

"I thought this would be an interesting thing to put up in the digital electronic media section: I recently read that Perez Hilton is planning to release a book about his success in the coming year. This makes me truly realize the insane power that digital media has had with regard to the internet. While once, being connected to the internet was reserved only for those who could afford a computer, and understand how to communicate in MS DOS code, now the internet has given everyday people the power to become international celebrity icons.

Perez Hilton did nothing more than start a blog about celebrity gossip, and now he has risen to being a celebrity himself. Access to the internet has allowed the public really to break through the seemingly unattainable barrier of celebre-dom. Which is really great, no longer must we be afraid to produce media. Thanks to increased affordability of equiptment and internet access people like Perez can make an name for themselves without the use of expensive hollywood agents and previous experience.

It does make me wonder though, will there be a certain point when too much is out there? Making it just as difficult as it was before for an average person to be 'discovered'? I can't help but hope that my blog (grassroots gourmet) will one day be successful like Perezhilton.com, although this is totally wishful thinking considering my blog only targets a very specific demographic, but the possiblity is fun to ponder nonetheless.
