Workshop-Filters Using Adobe Photoshop

We will meet in 'Steele 5' at Scripps College. In this session, I will introduce about the basic tools and skills in photoshop. Also, i chose about 4-5 practical filter/layer using in photoshop. Basically, i want to explain briefly and show you how to do it. we all will practice. details will be in below.

1. what is JPEG, TIFF, RAW files in photoshop ? how are digital images different from film images ?

2. basic tools in photoshop.

3. basic skills.

  a. white balance control using 'curve'
  
  b. filters - how to make image 'soft' or 'emphasized'
  
  c. remove noize from images

4. 4 chosen practical photoshop skills

  a. black & white photo making from color images
  
  b. portrait
  
  c. negative film making
  
  d. lomography making
