Crazy Enough mentioned in class how new media technology helps with class registration.
As a social sciences person, a non-lab science class to fulfill my area requirement is a godsend. I was extremely disappointed in finding that this geology class was filling up extremely quickly...and I know I wasn't the only one. However, thanks to email and my.pomona.edu, everyone quickly found out that a new section of this class has opened up! Making life much easier. Yes.
Oh the crazy rush for classes.
However, that isn't the part of the end of the academic year that drives me up the wall.
I'm not sure how it's done on other campuses but we have room selection for the next academic year based on lottery numbers. It is WILD when people are trying to choose their rooms, like some big crazy game.
I wish they would come up with some way of putting that whole process online.
