Just the screen-name:

Twosandwichesshort is my screen-name in the Introduction to New Media (MS51) class at Pomona college. It is, like a lot of screen-names, an allusion, and it is intended to refer to:

a) the euphemism "two sandwiches short of a <picnic/lunchbox, etc.>"

b) the obscure detroit/ambient techno group two sandwiches short of a lunchbox, which is also, obviously, a reference to a)

More biography:

I am originally from the American Southeast and have lots of family in Kentucky, where my parents were born. I grew up in [Birmingham], Alabama and attended school there through high school; I have a great deal of attachment to the city itself despite all its limitations.

Music is a very important part of my life and I have amassed over the years a music collection of reasonable size. I am particularly interested in electronic music, especially although by no means exclusively electronic dance music, and I consider DJing to be one of my hobbies. I will sometimes perform at Table Manners, a weekly party that happens on Tuesday nights.

I also made several movies in high school and have managed to put a few out in college, although not nearly as many, since I'm doing a lot more things. I really am not that familiar with cinema history, sadly, and am apologetic about my lack of zeal in studying the classics of moviemaking. Some of my favorite movies off the top of my head in no particular order are Blow-up. American Beauty, Apocalypse Now, Amelie, Lost Highway, Pulp Fiction.
