For my midterm, I'd like to analyze a Japanese social networking site, http://www.mixi.jp

I am interested in the differences in culture affecting how the website works, and what kind of similarities in structures exist with sites like myspace or facebook. It's interesting, coming from Japan, because most Japanese students made a facebook after coming to college and keep up with their mixi websites as well.

Anyhow, I will present my midterm through a web designed for the current youth, meaning people with low attention span like me. I will hopefully integrate flash as well as make a design for my webpage. Obviously I will include text and links to organize various ideas.

I will not be using flash. It's totally unneeded.

From the text book I will be referencing the bits from the two authors arguing over the effects of social networking. I forgot where/who so I will dig it up and edit this blog again.
