Machines

Technology is one of the biggest things in our society. The whole idea behind technology is convenience, communication and entertainment. Electronics are constantly being improved to be more useful and more convenient. One thing Bush touched on was how technology improves mental health. If anything, creating and producing technology could enhance intelligence, but not mental health. I would think that technology would make people more lazy. Bush talked about photography as an example of improvment. New lenses and software are constantly being created for computers and cameras. The important part of this article was that technology is all to help man.

Turing's question was "Can machines think?” Because machines are man-made, it’s impossible for them to work without help. Therefore, they can’t function alone. Someone had to produce the hardware for the machine to function. A machine cannot function on its own without the help of humans. Whether it’s pressing a button or creating a microchip, humans are usually in control. If anything, machine just a smarter/electronic and imitated version of man.
