I found this video as an interesting look into the future.
First let me start with something completely irrelevant. The presentation on Saturday was highly enjoyable, and I thought everyone there had a great time even though the topic was quite serious. Prof. Siva Vaidhyanathan did a great job in presenting so that the audience could actually enjoy the time rather than be bored and fall asleep (like one person in the crowd that I noticed).
While reading George Landow’s “Hypertext and Critical Theoryâ€, I couldn’t help thinking about my research experience I had last semester while writing the final paper for my freshman seminar. Before starting our research, we dedicated one class period to speaking to a librarian on how to utilize the libraries many resources. When the time came to start researching my paper I spent hours scouring the libraries resources for academic journal articles that pertained to my subject but I was having very little luck.
