Historical idealism

From MarxWiki

Idealism is generally understood as a philosophical perspective which posits the contigency of material circumstances on the mind. It is originally associated with the work of the German philosopher Immanuel Kant, who argued that the inherent structure of the mind places certain constraints the structure of our reality, spicifically by organizing it into space and time. Hegel's Historical Idealism suggests that the course of history contains a certain logic; the gradual movement toward a point where appearence is one with reality, and material factors are best suited to the intelligent force that brought them into being.
