Jacques Marie Emile Lacan (1901-1981)

Born to a bourgeoisie Catholic family. A philosopher that developed his publications in case studies supporting his theory of the `Mirror State` and other articles on it. He explored the ability of infants to recognize their own images in the mirror and how in order to become a subject or a social being, the infant must come to terms with the reflection not being indentical to itself as a subject.
