Michel de Certau, author of The Practice of Everyday Life Born in France (1925-1986) Historian, Jesuit, noted for his work on mysticism in 16th & 17th c. Europe. Taught at Ecole des Etudes en Sciences et Sociales, Paris VIII, Paris VII, and University of California, San Diego. Influenced by Foucault, Lacan, and Griemas. Practice of Everyday Life was Published in 1984. Came up with the concept of la perruque.
